Privacy Policy

Zen Analyze is a daily visual food journal drawn from East Asian dietary tradition. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We have kept the language plain so you can read it in a single sitting.

Zen Analyze is operated by TONGUE LINK TECHNOLOGY INC. ("we", "us", "our").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Credentials

Zen Analyze uses Sign in with Apple to create and authenticate your account. We receive a stable Apple-provided user identifier; we do not collect or store any password. If you choose to share your name and email through Apple, we use the email address you provide (which may be Apple's private relay address) to send essential, account-related messages. You may optionally add a display name and a profile picture inside the app.

1.2 Wellness Profile

To prepare your daily food journal entry, you may share an age range, a gender preference, and an approximate city. These details shape the culinary pattern matching and ingredient suggestions you see in the app.

1.3 Camera & Oral Cavity Image

The app requests camera access so you can take a brief morning visual capture — a digitized version of a centuries-old East Asian dietary culture practice that informs what to put on the plate today. The capture screen includes a soft on-screen oval guide so you can frame an oral cavity image quickly and consistently.

What we capture. A single oral cavity image, framed by the on-screen guide. The app does not perform facial recognition, facial geometry mapping, biometric identification, or any kind of person identification.

How we use it. The image is transmitted to our cloud service for a single purpose: matching your daily observation to one of nine culinary pairing patterns. Your image is processed and discarded.

Storage and retention. Images are stored under random anonymous filenames in transient cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and are automatically purged within approximately 48 hours by a scheduled cleanup process. No permanent copy is kept. No archive is built. No gallery is offered.

No biometric data. The app does not collect, store, or process face data, facial features, fingerprints, voiceprints, or any other biometric identifiers.

1.4 Reflection Responses

Your answers to the lifestyle reflection questions in Daily Moment and Deep Journey (for example, how rested you feel, your sense of calm, how meals felt that day) are saved to your account. They form the running journal that lets you look back across days and seasons.

1.5 Approximate Location

We use your IP address to estimate the city you are in. We do not request GPS access. The city signal is used only to bring local seasonal context — for example, gentle warmth or cooling cues — into your daily entry.

1.6 Purchase Records

If you purchase Zen Pro or any in-app credits, we record the transaction type, status, and remaining balance. The actual payment is handled by Apple's StoreKit and our subscription processor, RevenueCat. We never see, store, or have access to your payment card details.

1.7 Usage Analytics

We keep modest in-app usage signals — how often you open the app, which screens you use, session timing — to understand how the journaling experience is being received and to identify problems early.

1.8 Device & Security Signals

For account safety and abuse prevention, we record a device identifier and your IP address at the time of sign-in and at sensitive moments (such as account-level changes or sign-in from a new device).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Generate your daily culinary pattern, three descriptive notes, ingredient pairings, and lifestyle suggestions
• Form a personal pattern journal you can revisit across days, weeks, and seasons
• Operate your account, your subscription, and your credit balance
• Send you essential, account-related messages
• Detect fraud, prevent abuse, and keep the app safe
• Meet legal obligations that apply to us

We do not run advertising in the app, and we do not build advertising profiles based on your data.

3. Where Your Data Lives

Account information, profile preferences, and your reflection journal are stored in a Supabase database protected by row-level security — each user can only access their own records. All traffic is transmitted over TLS encryption.

Camera images are never persisted long-term. During the brief processing window, the image exists in a transient cloud bucket under an anonymous filename and is purged automatically. There is no permanent image storage.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small set of carefully chosen service providers to run the app:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and row-level security
• Cloudflare R2 — transient image storage with automatic purge
• RevenueCat — subscription state and entitlement management
• Apple StoreKit — in-app purchase processing
• AI culinary matching provider — pattern matching for your daily entry

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing them if you would like more detail.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it.

The only times your information leaves our systems:

• To the service providers listed above, strictly so the app can function
• If required by law or a valid legal request
• To protect the safety and rights of our users or the public
• In connection with a corporate transaction (such as a merger), in which case we will tell you in advance

6. Retention

While your account is active, we keep your wellness profile and your reflection journal so you can watch your patterns unfold across seasons. Camera images are a separate matter — they are purged shortly after processing and not retained.

If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and reflection history. Limited anonymized, aggregated data (such as total user counts) may remain because it cannot be linked back to any individual.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the ability to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or out-of-date information
• Delete your account and your personal data
• Withdraw a previously given consent
• Request a portable export of your reflection journal

8. Children's Privacy

Zen Analyze is not designed for anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

The infrastructure that powers Zen Analyze (databases, transient image processing, subscription services) operates from servers in North America. By using the app, you understand that your data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own. We apply appropriate safeguards in line with applicable data-protection laws.

10. Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, anonymous filenames for transient images, row-level security in the database, and access controls on internal tools. No system is perfect — but we handle your data carefully and review our practices regularly.

11. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this page from time to time. If we make a meaningful change, we will let you know inside the app. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version.
