Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Zen Analyze. By downloading, opening, or otherwise using the app, you agree to what is written here. If any of it does not work for you, please do not use the app.

Zen Analyze is operated by TONGUE LINK TECHNOLOGY INC. ("we", "us", "our").

1. Acceptance & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Zen Analyze. If you are between 13 and 18, your parent or guardian should be aware of and agree to your use of the app. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. About Zen Analyze

Zen Analyze is a daily visual food journal drawn from East Asian dietary tradition. Each daily entry pairs your observation with one of nine culinary patterns — accompanied by three descriptive notes (warmth, moisture, energy) and a daily food pairing across breakfast, lunch, hydration, and a closing tip — translated for items you can buy at Costco, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe's. A longer Deep Journey produces a set of meal suggestions across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea (each group with a few options to choose from), a tap-to-copy weekly grocery list, and seasonal lifestyle suggestions. The content presents traditional dietary perspectives, prepared for personal reflection and cultural exploration, and is educational and culinary in nature.

3. Your Account

You will need an account to use most features. Zen Analyze uses Sign in with Apple, so your account is secured by your Apple ID. You agree to keep your Apple ID secure and to notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You are responsible for activity that takes place under your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or that show signs of fraudulent activity. We prefer not to take such steps, and we will do so only when warranted.

4. Zen Pro Subscriptions & Credits

4.1 Credits

Some experiences in the app spend a small number of credits per use. New readers receive a starter set. Additional credits are available through Zen Pro subscriptions or as separate one-time purchases.

4.2 Subscriptions

Zen Pro is available as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions are processed through your Apple ID and renew automatically until cancelled. To avoid the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends through your Apple ID subscription settings.

4.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refund requests go through Apple's own channels. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly.

4.4 Pricing & Changes

Prices may change from time to time. Where applicable, we will give reasonable advance notice within the app and through Apple before any change takes effect for a recurring subscription.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Zen Analyze, please:

• Use the app only for the cultural reflection and journaling purposes for which it is offered
• Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to other readers' accounts
• Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, hateful, or unrelated to the app's purpose
• Do not create duplicate or fraudulent accounts to game credits, promotions, or trial offers
• Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app

6. Intellectual Property & Your Content

The Zen Analyze app, the visual design, the cultural pattern library, the ingredient pairings, the supporting text, the underlying software, and all trademarks remain our intellectual property or that of our licensors. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of that to you.

The reflection responses and images you submit through the app remain yours. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process those inputs solely so the app can deliver the experience you requested. Camera images are processed under anonymous filenames and purged automatically; we keep no permanent copy.

7. AI-Generated Content Notice

The patterns, pairings, and lifestyle notes presented in the app are generated using AI models drawing on classical wellness literature and contemporary lifestyle research. The output is intended as a thoughtful reading, not a definitive statement. Your own judgement, taste, and life context should always lead.

8. "AS IS" Disclaimer

The app and all content within it are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the cultural readings produced will fit every reader's expectations.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEITHER WE NOR OUR LICENSORS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP DURING THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or behaved in a way that puts the app or other readers at risk. Sections of these terms that should logically survive termination (including liability limits, indemnity, and governing law) will continue to apply.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these terms or the app.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is meaningful, we will give notice inside the app. Your continued use of the app after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
