User Agreement

This User Agreement is a companion to the Terms of Service. The Terms set out the legal framework. This Agreement spells out the everyday product practices — how the daily ritual works, how your account behaves, how Zen Pro and credits work in practice, and how we keep the app a calm place. By creating an account or continuing to use the app, you accept this Agreement.

Zen Analyze is operated by TONGUE LINK TECHNOLOGY INC.

1. What This Agreement Covers

This Agreement complements, but does not replace, the Terms of Service. Where the two overlap, the Terms govern. Where this Agreement provides product-level detail not covered in the Terms, this Agreement applies.

2. About the Daily Experience

2.1 Daily Moment

A Daily Moment is the morning gesture at the heart of Zen Analyze — a brief 30-second visual capture, in the East Asian dietary tradition, that informs what to put on the plate today. The app pairs your observation with one of nine culinary patterns and three descriptive notes (warmth, moisture, energy), alongside a daily food pairing for breakfast, lunch, hydration, and a closing tip. Ingredient suggestions are anchored to items you can pick up at Costco, Whole Foods, or Trader Joe's.

2.2 Deep Journey

A Deep Journey is the longer culinary companion. It takes around three minutes and combines a short profile, a visual capture, and a small set of reflective questions about how the week has been feeling. In return, you receive a set of meal suggestions across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea — each group with a few options to choose from — together with a tap-to-copy weekly grocery list and seasonal lifestyle suggestions. All ingredients are anchored to grocery items you can buy today.

2.3 Pattern Journal

Each entry is recorded into your personal pattern journal — presented as a karesansui-inspired monthly grid. The journal is yours to revisit; we do not turn it into rankings or comparisons.

3. Your Account & Profile

3.1 Setting Up

Tap Sign in with Apple to create your account. Your Apple ID becomes your sign-in — there is no email or password to manage. One account per person — duplicate accounts created to game credits, promotions, or trial offers are not permitted.

3.2 Keeping Your Account Safe

Your account is secured by Sign in with Apple, so your Apple ID safeguards your access. Keep your Apple ID secure with a strong passcode and two-factor authentication. If you suspect unauthorized access, write to us at dev@zenanalyze.com as soon as you can.

3.3 Locked Profile Fields

After you confirm certain profile details (such as age range and gender preference) a small number of times, the app locks them. This keeps your pattern journal comparable across days, weeks, and seasons. Please double-check before confirming. If a real mistake was made before the lock, write to support and we will help.

4. Your Inputs

4.1 Camera Capture

The morning visual reflection uses the in-app camera with an on-screen oval guide. The guide helps you frame an oral cavity image quickly and consistently. Each capture is sent to our cloud service under a random anonymous filename, processed for pattern matching, and purged automatically. We do not store, archive, or link the image to your identity.

4.2 Reflection Responses

Your answers to the reflection questions are saved to your account and form the running journal you can revisit. Please answer in the spirit of "how did the day feel?" — there are no right or wrong answers.

4.3 Keeping It Relevant

Please do not upload anything offensive, unlawful, or unrelated to the cultural reflection purpose of the app.

5. Zen Pro & Credits

5.1 Starter Credits

New readers receive a starter set of credits. Some experiences spend a small number of credits per use; the app shows the cost before you commit.

5.2 Zen Pro Subscriptions

Zen Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew through your Apple ID until you cancel. Subscribers receive a generous monthly credit refill plus the full Zen Pro feature set (the complete set of meal suggestions across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea, a tap-to-copy weekly grocery list, two daily reflections per day, seasonal culinary insights, the deep cultural content library, and unlimited journal history).

5.3 Cancellation & Refunds

To cancel a recurring subscription, open Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Zen Analyze > Cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends. Refunds are processed by Apple, not by us — please use Apple's "Report a Problem" page or contact Apple Support directly. After cancellation, your access continues until the current period runs out.

5.4 Promo Codes

One promotional code per account, unless we say otherwise. Promotional offers are non-transferable and cannot be combined with other offers.

6. Privacy at a Glance

The short version:

• Camera images are never persisted long-term — processed under anonymous filenames, then purged
• Your reflection journal is protected by row-level security in our database
• We use IP-based approximate location only (no GPS) for seasonal context
• We do not sell your data
• You can delete your account and your reflection journal whenever you wish

7. Keeping Things Fair

We monitor for abuse — duplicate accounts, promotional code games, attempts to bypass usage limits, automated traffic, and similar behaviour. Where we find it, we may freeze the account, reverse credits, or terminate access outright. We would much rather spend the time improving the app, so please use it as intended.

8. Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account from the in-app Settings, or by writing to dev@zenanalyze.com. We remove your personal data and your reflection journal. Camera images were never persisted in the first place, so there is nothing to clean up there.

9. AI Output Notice

The patterns, pairings, and lifestyle notes that appear in the app are generated using AI models drawing on classical wellness literature and contemporary lifestyle research. The output is offered as a thoughtful reading, not a definitive statement. Your own judgement, taste, and life context should always lead.

10. Updates to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. If a change is meaningful, we will give notice inside the app. Continued use of the app after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Agreement.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute arising from or related to this Agreement is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
